We strive to contribute back to those that help support our initiatives. Here, you can view some of the many ways we reach out to our community!
Typhoon Haiyan's wake has devastated portions of Southeast Asia, specifically the Philippines.
To help, S2 Games is reaching out to the community, providing much-needed clean drinking water to the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan. The Philippines have been major supporters of S2 Games and HoN over the years, and now it's our turn to step up and lend a hand.
Donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by S2 Games and one hundred percent of donations will go toward the purchase and distribution of AquaPails, small filtration systems that can filter 5000 gallons into clean, consumable drinking water.
S2 Games had a massive impact at DreamHack Winter 2013 as it was the one of first public previews for our latest second generation MOBA, Strife. This year, we really wanted to give back to DreamHack attendees, who, since the show's inception, have been instrumental in helping us grow.
To show our appreciation, we opened the doors to an exclusive pre-beta Strife demo giving the more than 23,000 unique DreamHack visitors access to a Strife pre-beta client. The demo was the first public debut of 5v5, player vs. player matches and was only playable by DreamHack Winter 2013 attendees.
If exclusive access to Strife wasn't enough, we also partnered with Razer to randomly give out six (6) 14" Razer Blade laptops and fifty (50) Razer gaming peripherals and were a stop on the Razer Scavenger Hunt, which, to those who completed the challenge, had another opportunity to win cool prizes. To participate at our booth, scavenger hunters simply had to wield Ace's hammer and muster the energy conquer his Trial of Strength.
Thanks to everyone who supported us to make DreamHack Winter one of our best events yet!
In collaboration with Prairies Golf Course, Oshtemo Charter Township, and the Oshtemo and Kalamazoo Sunrise Rotary Clubs, S2 Games sponsored the 2013 Oshtemo Fireworks show.
The event featured several family-friendly activities such as magician, Alan Kazam, face painters, balloon twisting, food trucks and an interactive scavenger hunt. More than 3,000 people from Oshtemo and its surrounded came out to enjoy the fireworks spectacle.
On Saturday December 21, S2 Games participated in Stuff the Bus, a local charity event hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters at Kalamazoo Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, MI. More than 70 S2 employees participated in the event contributing over $14,000 in toys, clothing and other necessities for children between the ages of six and twenty two. Contributions from S2 Games, Metro Transit Bus, Dunkin' Donuts, and members of the Kalamazoo/Portage community, were so great that, not only was the bus 'stuffed,' but another was called for to gather the remaining surplus of donations.
To symbolize the nurturing partnership between S2 Games and its global partners for Strife, S2 will adopt gorillas from The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International - one on behalf of each partner.
The adoption represents the mutually beneficial, global, cooperation among S2 corporate partnerships as well as the strength of these concerted efforts.
Social media has changed the manner in which we communicate; S2 Games utilizes this instantaneous communication to stay connected with our player base so they are up-to-date with all the latest Strife and Heroes of Newerth news. We make every effort to listen, understand, and speak to our dedicated fans to ensure that every opinion is heard.

PAX Prime has come and gone, and the debut of S2 Games' second generation multilayer online battle arena (MOBA), Strife, was a huge success. The Strife booth, which gave PAX goers the chance to try out Caprice's Story, a mode meant to help ease players into the MOBA experience, and five vs five bot matches, was but a small taste of what to expect from Strife before it goes into closed beta later this fall. During the four-day event, the booth received several notable visitors such as Totalbiscuit, Twitch.tv's DJ Wheat, and co-creator of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kevin Eastman.
On par with our goal to make the game more accessible, S2 Games also set up shop at the Daily Grill directly across from the Washington Convention Center. The Grill featured five gaming stations where those who wanted a more intimate play through of Strife could avoid the hustle and bustle of the always-packed convention center. As a special thanks to those that dropped in, S2 Games offered discounts on food and non-alcoholic drinks.
The Asiasoft PlayPark FanFest was held in MCC, The Mall in Bang Kapi district, Bangkok, October 26-27, 2013. It was a celebration of Asiasoft's game titles and featured their newest title, Strife. Attendees had the opportunity to try the game for the first time, as well as pick up a limited edition comic book with a key to Strife's Closed Beta.
PlayPark FanFest was also the conclusion of Strife's Southeast Asian tour that included stops in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Devs showed off gameplay videos, answered questions, and played with some of the regions' top eSports personalities.
Shortly after its announcement in August, Strife broke international waters by kicking off a Southeast Asia road tour (SEA). For our first stop, we set up a booth in Singapore for Campus GameFest 2013 at the newly established Institute for Technical Education. At the inaugural event, we were honored by the presence of Mr. Lawrence Wong, acting Minister of Culture, Community and Youth who praised Strife for its anti-toxicity features.
While spreading the news about Strife, the booth also garnered attention from some of SEA's most renowned eSports parties including pro players PMS Jovial and iSg Vera, amongst others.
